Sony Honda Mobility of America Celebrates Grand Opening of AFEELA Studio at Westfield Century City, Showcasing the Future of Mobility

Los Angeles, February 24, 2025 – Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc. (SHMA) is bringing the future of mobility directly to consumers with the grand opening of AFEELA Studio at Westfield Century City. This limited six-month showcase marks the first time the AFEELA 1 has been shown to the public in Los Angeles, offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to experience Sony Honda Mobility’s groundbreaking electric vehicle.
The grand opening event on Saturday, February 22, was a milestone in SHMA’s commitment to redefining mobility by combining advanced technology, human-centric design, and entertainment-driven experiences. Attendees were among the first to explore AFEELA 1 up close and had the opportunity to place online reservations through the official AFEELA website with a fully refundable reservation fee of $200.
For six months only, the AFEELA Studio at Westfield Century City is designed to provide visitors with live, immersive demonstrations by AFEELA experts, allowing them to interact with the vehicle’s innovative technologies and understand Sony Honda Mobility’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
The AFEELA 1 is equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as AFEELA Intelligent Drive – advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and AFEELA Personal Agent that enables seamless communication between the driver and the vehicle. The cabin also showcases, several displays, and an immersive sound system featuring Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Technologies, allowing occupants to enjoy a variety of apps and entertainment content such as movies, music and also games.
The grand opening ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting led by Shugo Yamaguchi, President and CEO of Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating:

AFEELA 1 is scheduled for production at a state-of-the-art plant in Ohio, with deliveries in California anticipated to begin in 2026.
The AFEELA 1 is available in two trims:
- AFEELA 1 Origin: Starting at $89,900
- AFEELA 1 Signature: Priced at $102,900, this premium model includes 21-inch wheels, a rear entertainment system, and more.
- Both trims include a 3-year complementary subscription for certain functionality and features
This opening follows Sony Honda Mobility’s recent announcement at CES® 2025 regarding the establishment of AFEELA Studio & Delivery Hubs in Torrance and Fremont, California, expected to open in the second half of 2025.
